Kim Dong Hwan

BIO:

While training in Tae Kwon Do from an early age, Dong Hwan's ego usually gets the best of him. He was taught by his father, Kim Kap Hwan, and is a friendly rival with his brother Jae Hoon. While Jae Hoon is a serious practitioner and very similar to his father, Dong Hwan is very cocky and somewhat of a slacker. Though it may seem like he's goofing off, he enters the tournament to continue his father's legacy.

Har Har Har.... yeah, his name is Dong. Get over it. (Ohh wait, we're supposed to laugh I think). Yeah, Mr. Dong Hwan is clearly the comic relief character of Garou: MOTW. He brings a unique brand of charisma to the Fatal Fury series, and at the time, was one of the most hilarious fighting game characters in existence (he might still be). However, Dong can throw down when he needs to and has a really cool and well-defined style of TaeKwonDo... so don't take him lightly!

On a side note: He's actually a really clever stereotype of a TaeKwonDo fighter.... why? Well, as a TKD practitioner of over 20 years, I've met quite a few TKD students who (in real life) are nearly as cocky as Dong Hwan. The cocky TKD-users are usually the ones that can do the highest jump spin kicks and tend to "show off" whenever possible... so Dong Hwan is almost a realistic take on this stereotype. In case you haven't noticed, SNK did an amazing job with his animation. Dong is also considerably different from his brother, Jae Hoon.
